Iran Press/Europe: Some of those sanctioned included firms and organizations with ties to the drone industries in Russia and Iran.
The announcement came after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed Russia had received ballistic missiles from Iran and would likely use them in Ukraine within weeks.
Alongside that announcement, made during a visit to Britain, Blinken said the U.S. would also impose new sanctions, including on airline Iran Air.
The accusation of sending Iranian missiles to Russia has been repeatedly denied by Iran. However, the West claims Iran's cooperation with Russia in the Ukraine war without providing any supporting documents.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Russian presidency, stated in response to the American media's claim on Friday that Tehran provides its short-range ballistic missiles to Moscow: "We have seen these reports, but such information does not always correspond to reality."
