Uganda's Ministry of Health has identified more than 20 of its border points with the Democratic Republic of Congo as high-risk areas for transmission of the monkeypox virus.

Uganda's Ministry of Health has also planned a training program for its staff to help them better identify suspected Monkeypox cases.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health of Uganda, two suspected cases of Monkeypox virus have been detected in the border area of ​​Busia.
