The big picture:
Leila Abbasi, a 46-year-old doctor, expressed in a post her support for Hamas and Hezbollah resistance groups, describing the Israeli army as a plague responsible for killing infants in Gaza.
Why it matters:
The U.S. has always hyped itself as the cradle of freedom of speech and democracy. Yet, when it comes to the Israeli regime's crimes in Palestine, it blocks any dissident voice. The truth is that the Israeli regime, backed by the U.S., has massacred over 50,000 people, including infants and children, since October 2023.
Flashback:
It was on October 17, 2023, that the Israeli regime, just as one case among others, bombed Al-Ma'madani Hospita, where over 500 people were killed on the spot.
But, the situation worsens as the U.S. stands against the international bodies and mechanisms as it put pressure on the International Criminal Court (ICC) for issuing a warrant to arrest the Israeli regime's prime minister Netanyahu and his then war minister Yoav Gallant because of the all-out war on Gaza and committing massacre in the strip.
