One more time the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced new sanctions on Wednesday targeting 12 Iranian individuals.

Iran Press/America: These designations specifically focus on members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), officials from Iran’s Prisons Organization, and individuals responsible for overseas operations, as detailed on the Treasury's website.

The sanctions reflect ongoing concerns regarding human rights abuses and the activities of Iranian officials both domestically and internationally.

The new sanctions are the second package of sanctions after the administration of Masoud Masoud Pezeshkian took office.

In his first days after the election, the president of Iran had called for dialogue and cooperation with all countries in an article published in Tehran Times.

Abbas Araghchi, the new foreign minister, has also repeatedly emphasized dialogue with other countries.
