Iran Press/West Asia: According to the TV channel, at least two attacks targeted a military facility near the Conico gas field in the Deir ez-Zor governorate in one hour. Another strike targeted a base in al-Shaddadi in the al-Hassakah governorate. No further details were provided.
The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces control larger parts of the al-Hassakah and Deir ez-Zor governorates. Since 2015, nine US military bases have been established in this area. Damascus condemns the UُS military presence in Syria as an illegal occupation.
Following the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip, resistance units have intensified missile and drone attacks on US military bases in Iraq and Syria, demanding that the United States stop providing military assistance to Israel.
