At least two people were killed due to the accident of a bus carrying Iranian pilgrims to Karbala.

In this accident that happened near the city of Garmsar near Tehran, at least 47 people were injured.

This bus was on its way from Mashhad to Shalamcheh border.

Each year, a large number of people throughout the world come to Iraq and form a grand gathering of the world who walk to reach Karbala to commemorate the Karbala event.

Arbaeen, or the 40 days after Ashura, is the commemoration of the martyrdom of the Prophet Mohammed’s grandson Hussain, who was martyred by the army of Yazid I in the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
