Iran(IP)- According to reports, Turkey's Akinci UAV has detected two hot spots that probably belong to the site where the helicopter carrying the Iranian President crashed and has sent the relevant information to the Iranian side.

Iran PressIran news: The head of the East Azerbaijan Red Crescent also announced that Turkish UAVs detected two locations of hot spots.

According to reports, these two hot spots are located in the middle of a mountain forest, three kilometers northeast of a village called Tavil.

The helicopter was transporting President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and several other officials when it encountered difficulties and was forced to make a "hard landing." The incident happened in the Dizmar forest, between the cities of Varzaqan and Jolfa.

President Raeisi was returning from a ceremony to inaugurate a dam on the Aras River with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

An extensive search and rescue operation is underway to locate the site of the incident. Harsh weather conditions and the region's rugged terrain are hampering the rescue efforts.
