Iran Press/Iran news: Hicabi Kırlangıç, the Turkish ambassador to Iran, visited the Iran Press News Agency on Tuesday to learn about its various departments.
During his visit, he also held discussions with Ahmad Norouzi, The head of the IRIB World Service, and Abbas Mohammadnejad, the head of Iran Press and Director General of International Relations at IRIB, to explore potential avenues for collaboration.
In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Hicabi Kırlangıç stated that Iran and Turkey as two major countries in the Islamic world have a responsibility to showcase the plight of Palestinians and to bring attention to the atrocities committed against them.
He remarked, "The media of Iran and Turkey should demonstrate the pain of Gaza and Palestine to the world and illustrate the crimes of the Zionist regime."
During his discussion, the ambassador acknowledged that the current level of media cooperation between the two countries is unsatisfactory and should be enhanced.
He mentioned an existing agreement between Iran and Turkey aimed at activating joint media efforts, urging both sides to take the necessary steps to implement it effectively.
Kırlangıç also highlighted the importance of joint initiatives between the two nations on media-related issues, stating that the media in the Islamic world should unite for the common interests of Muslims.
The Turkish ambassador to Iran noted the role of embassies as facilitators in these collaborations, indicating that they should work to introduce each other's media outlets to foster better and more fruitful cooperation.
Kırlangıç emphasized that the media of Iran and Turkey, as major countries in the Islamic world, must showcase the pain of Gaza and Palestine and illustrate the crimes of the Israeli regime. He concluded by stressing the importance of media collaboration in awakening the conscience of Islamic leaders.
