Iran Press/ Iran News: Responding to Iran Press on the latest measures taken during the Iranian new year holidays to contain the coronavirus, Saeed Namaki stated, currently, six naval emergency fleets in the Persian Gulf would commute patients from islands to hospitals.
He noted that during the floods in the spring of 2019, good services had been provided to the people by the emergency forces, and in the same year, 3.5 million pilgrims' health issues had been managed perfectly.
He pointed out that the more stable the country's population, the easier and more successful the diagnosis and identification of the patients would be because the movement of people would make diagnosing difficult.
"We are suffering from a mutated virus, and I urge people not to travel. I thank those who did not travel, and I ask those who have traveled to follow the hygienic protocols during the trip," Namaki said.
The health minister stated that the mutated virus had infected countries with excellent health care infrastructures, such as Germany and the United Kingdom, but Iran's hard work had decreased the number of deaths to double digits within two months since the spread of the UK variant coronavirus.
He noted that if the new outbreak of the virus had not surged in Khuzestan, the number of deaths in the country might be single-digit.
