The Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts , Reza Salehi Amiri announced extensive plans to strengthen Iran’s relations with Tajikistan in the areas of tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges.

Iran Press/Iran news:  According to the Public Relations and Information Office of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Reza Salehi Amiri, on the sidelines of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce’s business delegation visit to Tajikistan, emphasized the importance of expanding ties with the neighboring country.

According to the Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, the number of Tajik tourists visiting Iran will grow from 8,000 to 100,000.

He noted that Tajikistan, with its shared cultural and historical heritage, is a key strategic partner for Iran in fostering relations with its neighboring countries.

He further highlighted the unparalleled potential of Tajikistan to strengthen both trade and cultural cooperation. With shared cultural roots and being part of the Noruz civilization, Tajikistan offers significant opportunities for deepening economic and cultural ties between the two nations.

Salehi Amiri also revealed plans to increase the number of Tajik tourists visiting Iran and stated, “Currently, around 8,000 Tajik tourists travel to Iran, but we have agreed that this figure will rise to 100,000. Boosting tourism will not only strengthen cultural bonds but will also contribute to trade growth and job creation.”

He referred to his recent visits to countries in the region, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia, and emphasized that the 14th government is focused on developing relations with neighboring states. “We are working on laying the groundwork to fully utilize these opportunities,” he added.
