Threats, negotiations dont go together: senior MP

The first deputy speaker of the Majlis stressed that an administration which claims to seek negotiations wouldn't tear up the results of earlier talks.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Masoud Pezeshkian made the remarks in a public session of Iranian Parliament on Sunday while praising the Judiciary week and congratulating it to Iran’s head of Judiciary and judges.

“An administration which claims to seek negotiations wouldn't tear up the results of earlier talks. One can never trust such individuals and sit with them at the negotiating table,” he noted according to Iran Press International News Agency.

Pezeshkian also described the downing of the drone as a ‘strong blow’ to the United States, adding, “Iran will not give up to US threats.”

He added: “American officials are talking of negotiations while implementing the toughest sanctions against Iranian nation and government.”

The senior MP proposed a question saying, “How come that the US’ officials claim they seek negotiations while not abiding by their commitments in an international agreement which was a conclusion of talks between different countries with Iran and tearing it up”.

He further stressed that “the US can never be trusted.”

The first deputy speaker of the Majlis went on to say that the US’ government is the real terrorist in the world, adding, “American government has interfered in other countries’ internal affairs and caused chaos while arming the terrorist groups and handing them the most advanced equipment which has led to insecurity in the region.” 104/214
