This event, held under the slogan "An Advanced Iran with Emerging Technologies," was organized by the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Isfahan Science and Technology Park. It focused on three main themes: "Biotechnology and Precision Medicine," "Optical, Quantum, and Microelectronics Technologies," and "Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies."

Awards were presented to the top-ranked participants in the event in the fields of biotechnology and precision medicine, laser, quantum and microelectronics, and advanced materials and manufacturing.

At the closing ceremony of the Second National Next Award event, Mehdi Abtahi Foroushani, head of the Isfahan Science and Technology Park, highlighted the opportunities provided by law for direct investment of large companies in knowledge-based firms and institutions, calling on regional countries to take advantage of these opportunities.

Ahmad Reza Khezri, advisor to the Minister of Science, emphasized the role of the government in supporting knowledge-based companies by facilitating processes, accelerating procedures, preventing bureaucratic obstacles, and eliminating restrictive regulations to foster the growth of knowledge-based firms and national technology.

Touraj Amraei, Deputy CEO of Knowledge-Based Companies for the Development Affairs, pointed out Iran’s 17,000 scientific achievements over the past two decades and stressed the need to support knowledge-based companies and develop emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the digital economy.

Saeed Sarkar, head of the Center for Strategic Technology Development, criticized officials for neglecting the Leader’s emphasis on strengthening science and technology, describing the migration of Iranian elites as a strategic loss.
