Iran Press/Iran news: Seyed Hojjat Shafahi, head of Iran's Gold, Silver, Gemstones and Exporters' Union, on the sideline of this exhibition, said: The 15th gold, silver, jewelry, watch, and related industries exhibition opens on the 30th of January with the presence of 140 domestic companies and foreign agencies in gold, jewelry, silver, precious stones, machinery and related industries.
Shafahi stated that this year's exhibition is different from other years, and the machines and equipment of about 10 representatives from Italy, Turkey, China, and Germany are also present.
The head of Iran's Gold, Silver, Gemstone, and Gemstone Exporters Union also said that Iran is among the top 7 countries in the world in terms of gold and gemstone production, and among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of consumers.
He also said that out of 17 mines in Iran, 5 of them are active and around 10 to 11 tons of gold bars are produced annually.
He added that Iran has a special place in the field of precious stones and 17% of precious stone mines are located in Iran, but more infrastructure should be created for the processing of precious stones.
The 15th gold, silver, jewelry, watch, and related industries exhibition with more than 100 domestic companies and foreign agencies in the field of gold and jewelry, silver and precious stones, machinery, and related industries from January 31 to February 4, 2024.
It will be held in the permanent center of international exhibitions and events of Iranmall.
