Tehran (IP)- The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that the development of railway lines and the reduction of transit tariffs are on the agenda of Tehran and Damascus.

Iran PressIran News: In a joint meeting with Syrian economic activists, Mehrdad Bazr-Pash announced the increase of interactions between the two countries in various fields, including the activation of free zones and the reduction of transit tariffs, giving priority to tourism and the development of railway lines.

The meeting was held to address the ways for promoting economic cooperation between Tehran and Damascus, where Bazr-Pash, met with Syrian businessmen and a number of Syrian ministers.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development added: "In joint meetings and commissions, the two countries agreed on the activation of free trade zones and reducing the transit tariffs to zero."

Pointing to holding exhibitions to introduce the achievements and products of both sides, Bazr-Pash went on to say that holding joint exhibitions plays a key role in the two countries economic growth.
