Iran Press/ Iran news: The competitions aim to improve and discover the talent of school students aged 6 to 18 in 20 different fields, including robotics, guiding small cars by light rays, and designing spaghetti bridges.
The Director-General of the festival Yaser Khodadadi said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press: "The event was held in the form of 25 competitions and two workshop leagues."
Explaining the process of the competitions, he noted: "Since the beginning of the current [Persian] year, student competitions have been started in the cities and then they enter the provincial competitions, then the winners compete with each other at the national level at the Sharif University of Technology."
He further said that the best national competitors will be sent to world events, the last round of which was held in Oman's Muscat, where Iran won first place.
He said: "In this period also, we plan to prepare the strongest team to send to next year's international event. Khodadadi told Iran Press: "The event will be held in the fields of robotics, mathematics, chemistry laboratory, animal anatomy, spaghetti bridge building, and programming."
He concluded that 1000 students from all over the country would participate in the event, and 100 of them will enter international competitions.
