Tehran(IP): The presidents and high-ranking officials of Iran and Cuba signed 7 cooperation documents and a joint statement.

Iran PressIran news:  According to Iran Press the memorandums of understanding and cooperation documents between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Cuba in various sectors of science and technology, health, agriculture, energy and mining, communication and medicine were signed by the officials of the two countries.

These cooperation documents were signed by the vice president for science and technology, the ministers of agriculture and cooperation, labor and social welfare, and the vice minister of health, treatment and medical education with the Cuban ministers.

At the signing ceremony of cooperation documents between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Cuba, Ebrahim Raisi and Miguel Díaz-Canel signed a joint statement on deepening strategic and bilateral relations.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi officially welcomed the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, at the cultural-historical complex of Sa'adabad on Monday morning.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has traveled to Tehran at the official invitation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and after 22 years since the last visit of the late President of this country, Fidel Castro, at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation.

After the official welcoming ceremony and the introduction of accompanying delegations, a private meeting of the presidents of the two countries, a joint meeting of high-ranking delegations and the signing ceremony of cooperation documents and memorandums were held.

The presidents of the Republic of Iran and Cuba are going to explain the results and achievements of the bilateral consultations in a joint press conference.

During his trip to Tehran, in addition to the official meeting with Raisi, Miguel Diaz-Canel will also have meetings with some high-ranking officials of Iran and will visit the exhibition of the capabilities and latest technological achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the Pasteur Institute, which cooperates with Cuba in the fields of medicine. 219
