Iran's judiciary Chief:

Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's judiciary said that Iran and Iraq have high-level and large-scale relations in legal and judicial issues.

Iran PressIran news: Referring to the wide range of legal and judicial relations between Iran and Iraq, the head of Iran's judiciary said: "Two countries have high-level and large-scale relations in the field of legal and judicial issues, and the visits of delegations of the parties in this field are proof of this."

According to Iran Press, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i said on Tuesday before leaving for Iraq at Mehrabad Airport, referring to the goals of this trip, stated: "Deepening and all-round development of relations and communications with all friendly countries, especially neighbors, are among the fundamental policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran; These relations and communications include a variety of political, security, economic, cultural and judicial issues."

The head of the judiciary added: "In 1402 (Current year), a significant number of delegations traveled between the two countries, and agreements and memoranda of understanding in the field of judicial legal issues between Iran and Iraq were concluded during these visits.

Referring to the visit of the head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq to Iran in May of this year, the head of the judiciary said: "During this trip, memorandums of understanding were signed between the two sides and joint committees of Iran and Iraq were formed regarding various issues and related issues."

The head of the judiciary added: "During the aforementioned trip, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq invited me to visit this country so that the consultations and communication between the two countries regarding bilateral legal and judicial issues, as well as regional and global issues in this area, will be continued and expanded."

Mohseni-Eje'i stated: "One of the issues to be followed up during the trip to Iraq is the category related to terrorism and terrorists, for which a joint committee has been formed between Iran and Iraq."

He added: "Also, the investigation process of the American crime case at the Baghdad airport, which led to the cowardly assassination of the martyrs of Lieutenant General Hajj Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and the comrades of these generals of the resistance axis, will be pursued."

The head of the judicial system said: "One of the issues that is expected is to take effective action against the evil and usurping Zionist regime that has increased the volume and extent of its crimes against the oppressed and resistant people of Gaza, and we hope that we can take effective action in this field together with other Islamic countries."

According to this report, Mohseni-Eje'i, head of the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, traveled to Iraq today Tuesday (24th of Bahman) in response to the official invitation of Faiq Zidan, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq, at the head of a high-ranking judicial delegation.
