Tehran(IP): Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan discussed regional and international issues in a phone call.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on Thursday, held a telephone conversation to discuss bilateral and regional issues.

In this telephone conversation, Amir-Abdollahian described the relations between the two countries as brotherly.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran also called the Iran-Turkmenistan border the border of friendship and emphasized the need to further develop friendly relations between Tehran and Ashgabat.

Referring to his recent constructive talks with Amir-Abdollahian in Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan considered the relations between Iran and this country to be very important, especially in the fields of energy, gas, transportation, and road cooperation.

In another part, Meredov emphasized Turkmenistan's readiness to expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all areas. 219
