IP - The Afghan interim deputy prime minister for administrative affairs highlights the interim government's desire to foster good relations with OIC member countries.

Iran Press/Asia: The interim Taliban government has expressed its intention to send a representative to the 15th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Gambia.

According to local sources Sunday, Afghan Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Abdul Salam Hanafi met with Tariq Ali Bakheet, the special envoy of the OIC Secretary-General for Afghanistan, in Kabul.

During the meeting, Hanafi highlighted the collective hardships in the Islamic world and underscored the necessity for Muslim countries to collaborate in resolving issues.

He also pointed to the interim government's desire to foster good relations with OIC member countries.

The OIC summit will be held in the capital Banjul on May 4-5. 204
