Kabul (IP) - Khalil Rahman Haqqani, the Taliban's Acting Minister of Refugees and Returnees, in a meeting with Iran's ambassador and special representative in Kabul, Hassan Kazemi-Qomi, said that the Taliban also decided to return the migrants to their country, but a joint mechanism should be established to ensure that the return process is done with dignity.

Iran Press/Asia: The Taliban's Ministry of Migrants and Returnees announced on Tuesday the meeting between Khalil Rahman Haqqani and Hassan Kazemi Qomi and said that the two sides discussed the situation of migrants in Iran and their problems in the fields of work, accommodation, and education.

This Taliban official thanked Iran for hosting the migrants for 40 years and added: "The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has also decided to return the migrants to the country, but for this, a joint mechanism must be established so that this process is done with dignity."

In this meeting, Kaleem al-Rahman Fani, the financial and administrative deputy of the Taliban ministry of refugee affairs, said: We are committed to the rights of all our neighbors according to Islamic law and we ask our neighbors to do the same.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Refugees of the Taliban, the ambassador of Iran said that Iran is with Afghanistan in any difficult situation and will stand until the end. He called the reports about the mistreatment of immigrants in Iran fake and added that Iran takes care of all the rights of immigrants.

The Ministry of Refugees of the Taliban has said that in a meeting with the Iranian ambassador, it was agreed that a delegation would travel to Iran to investigate the problems of migrants and talk to the Iranian authorities to solve their problems.

Iran has been hosting millions of Afghan immigrants for years. The presence of immigrants in Iran has increased after the re-establishment of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Iranian officials say they are committed to deporting 2 million illegal immigrants by the end of the (Iranian) year. 204
