Saudi Foreign Minister, on Saturday, met with his Turkish counterpart to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and expand them in various fields.

Iran PressAmerica: In this meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, as well as the latest developments and the most important regional and international issues.

Abd al-Aziz al-Wasil, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, and Abd al-Rahman al-Dawood, Director General of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were also present in this meeting.

On September 10th, at the meeting of the leaders of the Group of 20 member states in New Delhi, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced building of a railway line and the construction of ports in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iraq . He expressed his hope that these port and railway projects will be carried out in coordination with China's Belt and Silk Road initiative.

Erdoğan said that the trade corridor will start from Saudi Arabia and the UAE reaching Basra in the south of the country through Iraq and then to Türkiye, and its purpose is to strengthen the trade exchange among the countries and facilitate the movement of goods.
