Iran Press/ Asia: Ankara government considers Kurdish groups in northern Syria and Iraq as terrorists who threaten the security of its country. Türkiye has been occupying parts of Syria and Iraq for the past three years under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
The ministry announced in a statement that the "Eren" operation has started in Diyarbakir with the participation of 645 members of the security forces, police and security border forces of Turkey.
Türkiye announced that on the first day of this operation, 144 kilograms of narcotic drugs and several mortar rounds were found in one of the hideouts of the PKK in the outskirts of Lice city in Diyarbakir province.
Türkiye claims that "Eren" operation is being carried out for the complete destruction of terrorism in this country.
