Tehran(IP): The deputy presidential chief of staff for political affairs informed about the visit of the Syrian Prime Minister to Tehran today on December 8 and said that this trip is aimed at the implementation of the agreements and to attend the 15th meeting of the Joint High Committee of Iran-Syria Economic Cooperation hosted by Tehran.

Iran Press/ West Asia: According to Iran press, Mohammad Jamshidi, the deputy presidential chief of staff for political affairs, said: "The prime minister of the Syrian Arab Republic will arrive in Tehran this evening at the invitation of the first vice president of Iran heading a high-ranking delegation, and tomorrow, Saturday, December 9, he will be officially welcomed by Mohammad Mokhber the Iranian First Vice President."

The deputy presidential chief of staff for political affairs added: Attending the 15th meeting of the Joint Supreme Committee for Economic Cooperation of the two countries in Tehran and meeting with the President, the Speaker of the Parliament and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council are among the other three-day schedule of Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous  to Tehran.

Jamshidi elsewhere stated: " In line with the implementation of the agreements formed during this year's visit of the president of our country to Syria and the axes agreed upon during that trip, which were finalized after holding the meetings of the joint commissions of the two countries, joint cooperation documents will be signed during Arnous' visit to Tehran."

It should be noted that extensive economic cooperation in the fields of customs, banking, creation of joint commercial zones, tourism, energy, electricity supply, etc. are among the fields that were examined by the high-ranking delegations of Iran and Syria during this trip and is going to be operationalized.
