A suicide bombing in the Afghan capital Kabul on Monday killed six civilians, including a woman, and injured 13 others, according to a police statement.

Iran PressAsia: The attack took place in Qala-e-Bakhtiar area of Kabul's southern outskirts on Monday afternoon, when a suicide bomber triggered multiple explosives in a public area.

"This afternoon, a person detonated an improvised explosive device in the Qala Bakhtiar area of the 6th district of Kabul city," said Khalid Zadran, a spokesman for Kabul police, in a statement on X. 

"The injured were transferred to hospitals on time, and investigations are ongoing," Zadran added.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
