Tehran (IP) - The speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Vladimir Orlic arrived in Tehran and was welcomed by Iran's second deputy speaker of the Parliament.

Iran PressIran News: The Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Vladimir Orlic, arrived in Tehran at the head of a parliamentary delegation and was officially welcomed by Mojtaba Zonnour, the second deputy speaker of the Iran Parliament.

On his two-day trip, Serbia's Orlic scheduled to meet and talk with some Iranian high-ranking officials, including the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, and Iran Parliament's Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.  

Vladimir Orlic's 2-day trip was termed an "opportunity to develop friendship, economic, and political ties," according to the Iranian Deputy Speaker of the Parliament.  

Supplying industrial and agricultural machinery for Serbia, technology exchange, investment in wagon production, and trade in agriculture and seeds are some terms of cooperation between Iran and Serbia.

Serbia, Officially known as the Republic of Serbia, is located in Southeastern and Central Europe. It is a landlocked nation at the Pannonian Basin and the Balkans intersection.  

Serbia shares borders with Hungary to the north, Romania to the northeast, Bulgaria to the southeast, North Macedonia to the south, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the west, and Montenegro to the southwest.

Serbia claims a border with Albania that includes the disputed territory of Kosovo. The population of Serbia is approximately 6.6 million without Kosovo and around 8.4 million with Kosovo included. The largest city and capital of Serbia is Belgrade.
