Iran Press/Iran news: Holy Quds International Congress kicked off on Monday in Qom city, south to Tehran, and will last two days.
The Congress, in which cultural, political, and scientific figures from different countries of the world give a speech via video conferencing, is being held on the occasion of the International Quds Day.
At the beginning of the Congress, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani's message was read.
Grand Ayatollah Hossein Noori-Hamedani said, "Today, one of the most important issues in the Islamic world and the international arena is the issue of Holy Quds and Palestine."
"Some leaders of Islamic countries, with their help and secret compromises and behind the scenes or with their silence, strengthen the arrogant and Zionist oppression and weaken the first issue of the Islamic world; That is, they weaken Quds," Grand Ayatollah said.
He added: "The International Quds Day should still be considered as the most important international day, and this year, due to Corona disease, it should be commemorated in any way based on the instructions and observing health issues."
Ayatollah Hamedani added, "Today, the elites and every enlightenment person must not tolerate this oppression and remain silent. It must be declared to the whole world that no one but Palestinians has the right to determine their fate and that a fake regime called Israel must leave the region as soon as possible."
