According to what have been announced by head of Adwan Hospital in Gaza Strip about 50 malnourished children were reported in just one week.

Iran Press/West Asia: The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza Strip, Hussam Abu Safiya, said that about 50 malnourished children were reported in just one week.Abu Safiya said in statements, carried by Palestinian media, that the health system in Gaza is a target of the occupation, but we are trying to resume medical services at a minimum.

Abu Safiya said: "We are trying to resume medical service at a minimum in light of the fuel shortage and the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip."The specter of famine hangs over Gaza and we have recorded signs of malnutrition on some children.

According to a recent needs assessment by the Global Nutrition Cluster, the situation in Gaza is alarming.

 The ongoing conflict has significantly worsened child malnutrition from a Global Acute Malnutrition rate of 0.8% to 16% in northern Gaza and 7% in the rest of Gaza.
