Iran Press/ Iran News: In a phone call initiated by the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi on Wednesday, Ebrahim Raisi wished health and security to the Iraqi government and people, congratulating the Iraqi government and people on Eid al-Fitr.
Raisi said, "Cohesion and unity in Iraq have always been emphasized by the Islamic Republic of Iran and I hope that the political process of the recent parliamentary elections in Iraq will end as soon as possible with the formation of a strong and powerful government".
For his part, Iraqi Premier al-Kadhimi extended congratulations and blessings to the Iranian government and people on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing for the continued development and prosperity of relations between the two countries for the benefit of the Iraqi and Iranian peoples, as everything that serves stability and builds sustainable development that is reflected in security and peace for all the peoples of the region.
Al-Kadhimi also thanked Iran for its support for Iraq.
