Iran Press/ Europe: Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot after a government meeting and is being treated in hospital, the country’s state news agency reported Wednesday, stressing that he is in a life-threatening condition.
BBC says Fico is currently in a severe condition and his injuries threaten his life.
He was leaving the government meeting when he was shot in the stomach, hand, and foot.
A 71 year old Juraj Cintula, the man who shot at Robert Fico, is a writer and supporter of the opposition party Progressive Slovakia. This is his first statement given to the Slovakian police.
