Iran PressEurope: The current Ukraine-Gazprom transit agreement for Russian gas to the EU is set to expire on January 1, 2025. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal previously stated that Kyiv would agree to gas transit only if the gas does not originate from Russia.

"In a lengthy conversation with Putin, we exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, the military developments, the possibility of a swift peaceful resolution to the war, and the mutual relations between Slovakia and Russia," he added.
