Iran Press/ Iran news: The Sirjan Kilim Festival was held in Kerman province, southeast of Iran, on Wednesday evening with the participation of ambassadors and trade attaches of more than 15 foreign countries in Iran at the World City of Kilim (Sirjan).
Sirjan kilim has set a world record and has made Sirjan and Kerman a famous province worldwide.
Ambassadors and trade attach to Afghanistan, Pakistan, South Africa, France, Belgium, Denmark, North Korea, Belarus, Malaysia, and other countries, along with the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister not only attended the Sirjan Kilim Festival; but also visited the city's cultural and tourism heritage sites.
Speaking at the ceremony, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Gholamreza Ansari said: "Suitable platforms should be provided for export of Sirjan Kilim."
Ansari also called Sirjan a city of art and endeavor, saying: "Shiraki Pich" kilim of Sirjan should be promoted internationally more than ever before.
