Tehran (IP) - Speaking at his weekly news conference, the spokesman of Iran's Judiciary Masoud Setayeshi said that the terrorists' plan to sabotage the mourning ceremony of Arbaeen in Tehran was foiled.

Iran PressIran news: According to Masoud Setayeshi, by preparing explosive traps, all kinds of bombs and suicide vests, these terrorists wanted to carry out terrorist operations in the Arbaeen ceremony in Tehran among other gathering occasions and on the eve of the new school year.

"I appreciate the efforts of the security forces in the identification, discovery and complex neutralization of enemies and terrorists," said Setayeshi.

He further stressed: "The cases of these terrorists and their accomplices will be dealt with quickly and accurately according to legal standards, and the results will be provided to the public."

According to Iran's Judiciary spokesman, "a person who studied in the field of chemistry and once worked with the ISIS in Syria and for a while in Iraq was arrested in West Azerbaijan province."

The spokesperson of the Judiciary finally stressed that the death sentence of Jamshid Sharmahd has been confirmed.
