Iran Press/Iran news: The seminar addresses the creation of a single economic environment, expansion of common markets and access to the free flow of goods and services, joint policies in agriculture, energy, technology, and transportation.
The Iranian Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian as well as a number of other Iranian officials including the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade for Commerce Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jahad, the Chief of Customs, the Chief of Iran's Trade, and Production and Export Organizations in the Persian Gulf Chamber attended the conference which held at the permanent international fairground of Tehran.
Nurlan Akmatov, the Minister of Eurasia Customs, and Veronica Nikishina, the Minister of the Eurasian Union's Trade also attended the conference.
Iran's Ardakanian reiterated the important role of Iran in the Middle East connecting the countries' interests to each in a way that at the same time all the countries make benefit from the interests.
The official stressed the expansion of infrastructures and removal of the tariff obstacles, expansion of intra-regional trading relations, and "river" tourism in order to have a sustainable economic and trading relationship.
He referred to the 3 testing temporary free zones of trade in 2018 and said that the deal can boost Iran-Eurasian member union counties trading relations.
He also remarked that it is Iran's priority to expand ties with regional and neighboring countries and expressed hope to see the economic convergence between the regional countries.
Veronica Nikishina, the Minister of Eurasian Union's Trade also referred the very trade deal and called for its implementation as soon as possible because any delay makes both sides traders get cold feet, noting that Iran is seriously trying to make the deal operational.
"We have had before signing the deal long and significant relation with Iran. In 2018 our export and import was 27%. Both sides must carry out effort to remove and tackle this deal's obstacles," Nikishina added.
The Eurasia Economic Union (EAEU) was established in 2014 with the consensus of five countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Armenia.
Preferential Trade Agreements (PTA) between Iran and the EAEU began on October 27, with the implementation of Iran and Eurasia agreement on preferential trade on 862 products.
The grounds are supposed to be fostered for the free trade of Iran with the Eurasia zone, one year after the agreement was implemented.
