S. Korea emphasizes on boosting economic cooperation with Iran

South Korea's ambassador to Iran said Seoul is trying to remove obstacles in expanding economic and trade relations with Tehran.

Iran PressIran news: South Korea's ambassador to Tehran Yu Jang Hyun highlighted the importance of maintaining and developing economic cooperation between Iran and South Korea in a meeting with the head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Islamic Republic of Iran and South Korea, Asadullah Abbasi in Tehran on Wednesday. 

"Parliamentary friendship groups have a significant role in identifying and resolving the obstacles in the path of economic relations between the two countries," he added, Iran Press reported.

Yu Jang Hyun also emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields. 

Asadullah Abbasi, in his part, referred to the history of friendly relations between the two countries, adding that Iran and South Korea have great capacities in various fields which should be further increased.

He also stressed that US sanctions against Iran are a clear breach of international law, adding: "No country should be allowed to undermine Iran's and South Korea's long-standing friendly relations."
