Iran Press/Europe: A government source speaking to Russia Today stated that initial information indicates General Igor Kirillov and his aide were killed when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated. The bomb was reportedly placed on an electric scooter near the entrance of a building.
Earlier, Russian media reported a powerful explosion on Ryazansky Street in the capital, resulting in two fatalities. Emergency service officials told Sputnik that "an unidentified explosive device went off on Ryazansky Street, damaging windows on the first through third floors of nearby buildings."
According to the officials, "the entrance to one of the buildings sustained severe damage, and two individuals were killed in the blast."
