Russia’s special presidential representative for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, met with Kuwait’s ambassador to Moscow, Rashid Al-Adwani, to discuss the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

Iran PressEurope: The two officials called for an immediate de-escalation of tensions in the region, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The sides held a substantive discussion about the situation in the Middle East, stressing the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone to de-escalate the severe military-political situation in the region," the ministry reported.

The meeting was convened at Kuwait’s request and also addressed "topical issues regarding the further development of the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Kuwait."

As the conflict continues to escalate, both nations are advocating for diplomatic efforts to restore stability in the region.
