Iran Press/Iran news: President Rouhani was briefed by local officials on the aid and relief process for flood victims.
He also had cordial meetings with the people of the area and listened to their problems and concerns, Iran Press reported.
The unprecedented rainfall and the ensuing floods in Ilam have caused a lot of damage and displaced hundreds of people.
The main road from Dehloran to Mehran in Ilam province had been shut due to severe flooding with a river overflowing and bursting its banks.
Resettlement of flood-hit people began immediately after the floods, and relief efforts continue to be made with the government, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, the army and Basij (volunteer) forces actively helping flood victims. Volunteers have also been deployed to flooded areas. 101/211/202
