Iran Press/ West Asia: In the northern suburbs of Latakia, terrorist groups affiliated with the "Al-Nusra Front" have been deployed and are attacking safe areas. These terrorist actions lead to the deaths and injuries of citizens and material damage to public properties and people.
According to Iran Press quoting Sputnik news agency, residential and civilian areas in the city of Latakia (northwest) of Syria were targeted by a rocket attack, as a result of which two civilians were killed and four others were injured.
Sputnik news agency also reported that a number of others were injured following this attack.
In this regard, a local source announced, in this attack, the suburbs of al-Qaradaha and the villages of al-Rawimiyeh, al-Qatariyya and al-Kafriya were targeted.
This local source said, this attack was carried out from the areas under the control of terrorist groups in the southern suburbs of Idlib and the northern suburbs of Latakia.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this attack.
Three regions of Syria came under the control of the Syrian army in 2018, but the fourth region, which includes Idlib province in the northwest of Syria and regions such as Latakia, Hama and Aleppo, is still in the hands of terrorist groups and is said to be mostly under the control of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group.
