Urmia (IP)-Lake Urmia, in northwestern Iran was facing the risk of complete dryness for a while, but due to the good rains in the last days of winter and early spring, has revived and shines like a tourist hub.

Iran PressIran news:  In addition to the rains, the managed transfer of water to Lake Urmia has also played an important role in the revival of this water and tourism area of West Azerbaijan province.

Department of Environment of West Azerbaijan province announced that the volume of water imported from the main rivers to Lake Urmia was three times last year and based on the latest rainfall, the lake basin has increased by 28%.

The increase in the water of Lake Urmia has made the people of West Azerbaijan province and tourists happy, and these days, the tourists are spending happy moments next to the tourist gem of West Azerbaijan.
