Iran Press/ Iran News: In his message to the Fourth International Congress on Holy Quds, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said: "The issue of Palestine and Quds has always been the first issue of the Islamic world during the past decades. Occupying the First Qibla of Muslims and displacing millions of Palestinian citizens and killing thousands of innocent people is not a mere incident that is to be forgotten with the passing of time."
Qalibaf stressed: "Some people want to make the issue look like a historical event and ignore it with indifference, while the Palestinian issue is not a historical issue, but the issue of today's Muslims and all freedom seekers in the world."
He added: "Is it possible to see millions of people under siege and consider their suffering as a historical issue?"
Qalibaf continued: "The Zionists and their supporters are wrong. The flame ignited by the oppression of Palestine in the hearts of freedom seekers will not be extinguished."
He also pointed to the efforts of Muslims to solve the Palestinian issue in different ways and said: "The Islamic world has taken different paths in facing the Palestinian issue, some considered it an issue that just belong to the Arab world that failed, some wanted to solve the issue with negotiation and retreat against the Zionists.They failed of course. In recent years, some took the path of compromise, and this group also failed, but the majority of the Islamic world considers 'resistance' to be the right way to solve the problem. Resistance is a path that those who are in not only did not get disappointed but also had remarkable achievements."
