Iran Press/Iran news: A crew of foreign oil tanker rescued in the Oman Sea, including 11 Russians, 11 Filipinos and one Georgian, departed to Dubai Saturday night from Bandar Abbas international airport, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.
23 foreign sailors who were rescued in coordination with the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre of Shahid Rajaee Port, were in the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker ship named 'FRONT ALTAIR', which was heading to Taiwan from the origin of Al Ruwais port in Qatar, when fired broke out on board the vessel in the Gulf of Oman.
FRONT ALTAIR oil tanker also left Iran's waters under Iranian surveillance on Saturday.
Carrying a cargo of highly inflammable ethanol, the tanker caught fire, 25 miles off the coast of Jask port on the international shipping routes at 8:05 on Thursday morning. 208/104
