Tehran (IP)—The Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said that the world's security is tied to ending the greed of the arrogant world powers.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hojjatoleslam Hamid Shariari made the remark at the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference kicked off in Tehran in attendance Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and more than a hundred Shia and Sunna scholars across the world.

Shariari criticized the world powers' warmongering and told the attendees of the Islamic Unity Conference in an address that sustainable development requires global and regional security, and this is not possible without Islamic cooperation to achieve the common value.

He referred to the Israeli war on Gaza and said that the Islamic countries could cooperate to put an end to the regime's crimes in Gaza, the West Bank, and, Lebanon.

The Israeli regime has launched an all-out war on Gaza and then the West Bank since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 41,000 people killed and more than 94,000 others injured, along with attacking Lebanon and Syria.

As with the Ukrainian war Shariari pointed out that it was a war of the NATO, led by the US, and Russia, recommending the European Union to not tie its interest to that of the US.

The US and the UK are not interested in strengthening the European Union and seek their interests in the collapse of the European Union and the fall of the euro in the region.

“Establishing a new Islamic civilization is dependent on protecting regional security with the use of wisdom of the rulers in the West Asian countries,” he reiterated.

The 38th International Islamic Unity Conference aims to follow the diplomacy of proximity and the discourse of unified ummah to establish a union of Islamic countries.
