Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at the opening ceremony of an optical fiber project on Thursday in Qom, south of Tehran, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that providing an optical fiber network for 7.5 million households in the country is good news, an issue that is among the administration's priorities.
Raisi called the optical fiber an important cultural infrastructure in the country for the transfer of knowledge and technology and said with the development of the infrastructure, researchers, universities and scientific institutions can do their work with more speed.
He also highlighted the significance of the optical fiber infrastructure in Qom, which is home to knowledge and content production.
President Raisi said that currently, 25 million people in the country enjoy an optical fiber network.
Meanwhile, 7,256 houses were delivered to the people of Qom in the very ceremony with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development. 219
