Iran Minister:

China (IP) - Iran's Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade said that the visit of the President of the country to China could be the beginning of a new development in the economic and commercial relations between the two countries.

Iran PressAsia: A joint meeting of Iranian and Chinese businessmen was held in Beijing, the capital of China, on Monday night, with the presence of the officials of the two countries, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, arrived in the city on Tuesday morning for a two-day visit.

Iran's Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin, in the meeting, stated that the country has taken a strong approach in the international arena in the past year, and its membership in regional organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the Eurasian Economic Cooperation Organization (EECO) has strengthened the international dimension of Iran's cooperation with other countries.

Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of Iran's Foreign Minister believes that the visit of the President of the country can lead to faster implementation of business cooperation. Saying that the country's exports to China are mostly non-oil goods, Safari stated that in the last ten months, the value of Iran's exports to China reached about $12 billion, and China's exports to the country were slightly more than $12 billion.

The Iranian diplomat emphasized that the visit of the President of Iran to China can be a turning point in the expansion of commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries in various sectors.
