Tehran(IP)- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made it clear that Tehran vehemently opposes the presence of foreign entities in the region, dismissing their involvement as an attempt to meddle under the guise of "problem-solving."

Iran Press/Iran news:  Speaking during a meeting on Thursday, the president emphasized that such interference only exacerbates existing issues for states and their citizens.

In discussions with Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister, Mher Grigoryan, President Raisi lauded the long-standing, positive relationship between the two nations, characterizing it as "constructive, historical, and friendly."

Touching upon the Caucasus region, he stressed Iran's commitment to ensuring its safety and stability, reiterating Tehran's support for peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan and expressing readiness to contribute to the strategic security of the area.

President Raisi also highlighted the shared determination of Iran and Armenia to enhance trade and economic ties, affirming that the implementation of bilateral agreements is mutually beneficial.

In response, Grigoryan commended Iran's support for Armenia's territorial integrity and underscored its significance for his country, expressing Armenia's eagerness to further strengthen economic cooperation with Iran.
