Riyadh(IP)- Iran’s President arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia on Saturday for a summit on Gaza.

Iran PressWest Asia: Its his first visit since the two countries agreed to restore ties in March.

Footage aired on the Al-Ekhbariya channel showed Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, wearing a traditional Palestinian keffiyeh scarf, greeting Saudi officials at the airport after disembarking from his plane.

Saudi Arabia will host emergency meetings of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss the war and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

57 heads of state from OIC countries will attend the summit.

President Raisi's trip to Saudi Arabia will mark the first visit by an Iranian head of state to Saudi Arabia since Tehran and Riyadh restarted political relations under a China-brokered deal in March.
