Tehran (IP) - Iranian President explained the achievements of his visit to the Latin American countries, including signing 35 agreements of cooperation with Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba.

Iran PressIran News: The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi just arrived in Tehran after his visit to Latin American countries.

On his three-leg tour to Latin America, Raisi visited Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba to expand Iran's relations with the Latin American countries.

In a presser on Friday, Raisi said that Iran's relations with Latin America got started years ago with the victory of the Islamic revolution but during the last decade, the ties stagnated, so the visits took place to repower the relations.

For example, he referred to the revival of the Iranian tractor manufacturing industry in Venezuela which was halted for the last 9 years.

Raisi reported that during his trip to Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, 35 documents of cooperation were signed in such areas as energy, industry, mine, power plants, and biotechnology.

The Iranian president pointed to 5 contracts in biotechnology with Cuba worth 90 million dollars, noting that a task force was formed between the two countries to pursue the knowledge-based projects.

He referred to the export of technical and engineering services, the supply of raw materials with suitable prices, and the creation of new markets constituted the foundation of the trip to the Latin American countries.

Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has established good relations with some countries in the Latin American region, such as Nicaragua, Cuba, Venezuela, and Bolivia, which have a long history of fighting imperialism and global arrogance led by the United States.
