Iran Press/Iran news: The speaker of Iran's Parliament , who was in Russia to participate in the meeting of BRICS heads of parliaments, returned to Tehran a few minutes ago. According to the Iran Press news agency, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf upon his arrival at the Mehrabad Airport Republic Pavilion on Friday evening, called the BRICS group as one of the good opportunities that there are countries that are emerging in the economic field.
Iran's Parliament Speaker further said, there was an opportunity for bilateral talks with those present in The BRICS summit and it was decided to take action against the unilateral US sanctions such as de-dollarization.
Qalibaf further stated that the BRICS member states have good overlapping capacities in various fields and we have achieved good goals.
Iran's Top Official noted:
" We had good meetings with the {representatives of} present countries about bilateral cooperation."
Elsewhere Qalibaf went on to explain more about his discussions during meeting with The Russian President Valadimir Putin about the North-South corridors, energy transfer and trade exchanges, and he believed that good things would happen in the near future.
Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf in his recent trip to Russia delivered speech at the BRICS Parliamentary Assembly, and attended the bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his counterparts from the parliaments of Russia, Ethiopia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Tajikistan and the head of the Council of the Russian Federation where he talked about the importance of developing trade relations as well as bilateral and multilateral ties and using the economic and strategic capacity of the Islamic Republic of Iran in BRICS and Shanghai.
Qalibaf's trip to Russia was the first attendance of a high-ranking Iranian official at BRICS general meetings after Iran's definitive membership in this organization.
Apart from the presidents of the parliaments of Russia, India, China, Egypt, Iran and Ethiopia and the deputy presidents of the parliaments of Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, the presidents of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Tanzania and the vice president of the parliament of Armenia as Friends of BRICS attended the event at the invitation of Russia.203
