Iran Press/Europe: According to the Iranpress news agency from Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the international meeting of the Russian Energy Week in Moscow, which was held in the presence of the Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, BRICS energy ministers and high-ranking officials of the countries participating in the Energy Week meeting.
Putin added: "Westerners block access of energy technologies to independent countries they deem undesirable because they cannot compete. At the same time, some believe they can use illegal sanctions to their advantage in the energy sector."
The Russian President said that the West has accelerated the development of alternative means in Russia to ensure energy delivery and make cross-border payments.

He stated that the growth of the world economy in the 21st century will not be concentrated in Europe or North America, but in the BRICS countries, adding: "The countries that want to join BRICS envision a world order equal to respecting the national interests of the countries."
Putin stressed that BRICS considers its task to combine economic capacities and create space for mutually beneficial cooperation between countries.
Putin said: "Despite the existing problems, Russia is still one of the leading members of the energy market."
Pointing out that the share of friendly countries in Russia's energy exports is 90%, Putin added that Russia's partners are interested in switching to national currencies in Russian export payments.
The President of Russia said: "the supply of Russian gas through the "Power of Siberia" pipeline is increasing, the export of liquefied natural gas is also growing, and Russia is gradually overcoming the problems it faces in payments for exports."
