Pakistan (IP) - Protests were held across Pakistan on Friday against the terrorist attacks on passenger vehicles in Parachinar. On Thursday, armed men attacked passenger vehicles in Parachinar, resulting in the deaths of more than fifty people and injuries to scores of others, including women and children.

Iran Press/Asia: On Friday, protest demonstrations were held in various cities including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Parachinar, and the federal capital Islamabad, in which a large number of citizens participated.

The protesters held play-cards against terrorism in Parachinar, while the participants also chanted slogans against this inhumane act. Addressing the protesters belonging to different schools of thought, religious scholars and social figures said that the attack by armed men on unarmed and innocent passengers is a blow to peace, no society can accept firing bullets on passengers, women, and children.

The speakers said that Parachinar has been the center of religious violence for many years and that is why passengers are allowed to travel under government protection, however, despite government security and measures, this terrorism is surprising and questionable.

The protesters demanded that the government, putting aside all other issues, immediately arrest the criminals involved in the Parachinar terrorism and give them the harshest punishment. 204
